The Scanning Loop Detector (Enlace) is a high-precision infrared scanning device designed to detect infrared radiation sources within a vertical field of view (with a narrow horizontal field). It outputs analog signals (4–20 mA current and 0–10 V voltage) proportional to the angular position of heat sources, enabling precise loop control and measurement in steel rolling processes.

II. Principio de funcionamiento
The detector uses a rotating drum with a polygonal mirror to scan its optical area. When hot metal enters the field of view:

Infrared Detection: Reflected infrared radiation is captured by a photosensitive sensor.
Signal Conversion: Internal circuitry converts optical signals to electrical outputs:
Digital Output: A switch signal is triggered when radiation exceeds a preset threshold.
Analog Output: Calculates the heat source’s position as a percentage of the scanning area, generating corresponding 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signals.
